Heck, Lowell... I had some fun on the last hunt! But I'm sure looking forward to this one.

Call me at home if you need any info. Hell we might have to have Fritz come up too. He can clean the hogs for us...........

Congrats Spec on winning the auction.

Thanks to everyone for participating and helping support our troops. A huge thanks to Lowell for making this all possible too. It's why this forum was started, to help other people out.

Thanks too for the chuckle with kermit.

Good going, Speck. Fortunately for you, I went out of town Friday morning or you'd have lost this one (or at least paid a good deal more for it). Thanks for doing this for the folks who serve us, Boar Tracks. Hope you can put together another one someday.

To our dearest Speckmisser,
Please do us the honor of a prompt report, even minor details beyond "shots were fired... game was killed" . It has come to my attention, that those others who entered and participated in the auction or have hunted at CR are living vicariously through your actions. Waiting for a report, drives us nuts . So, if you can, or possibly allow Sgt. K to make a minor report, we would all appreciate it. Do not fear that we won't savor every word of your report, but that is the main meal. Let us have the appetizers while we wait.
Thank you for your attention in this manner.

No problem, Fritz... how about a pre-emptive report to save you all the anticipation?

December 6 -

32 shots were fired, several books of tags were utilized. Many hogs were seen, along with turkeys, deer, ducks, quail, and a coyote or two.

After shooting a truckload of hogs, we had Fritz out behind the guard shack skinning and quartering, while we went back for more.

After the hunt, Mudwalker, Lowell, and I kicked back with a bottle of Gentleman Jack to enjoy the spectacle of Fritz sharpening his 15th skinning knife.

December 7 -

26 shots were fired, more books of tags were utilized. Fritz is still working on yesterday's hogs, so I skinned these myself and put them on ice.

Being that I will be in Las Vegas that weekend to watch a little NFR (Ridem Cowboy), that's a long way fo r you to drive to the Thomas and Mack guard shack at $5/gal. to skin a few dozen pigs and the little lady wouldn't like me to get all tired out for her birthday celebration that weekend.
Speck, I don't think you are going to be gone 5 days before you post results, but we all just want to know how well Mudwalker is going to do.

Fritz,

You know I'll post up results as soon as possible. Probably won't happen until I get home on the last day, but I'll try not to keep ya'll in suspense.

Of course, watching everyone squirm, waiting for the blacktail hunt results... well, there's a definite entertainment value there!

Look at all that free help I got you Speck. Now you are all set. Remember, at the CR web site map, they have the "primative weapon" area. So, bring a smokepole...as they use to say "smokem if you got em". I hope you will still make it down for the CAMP BOB HOG FEST.

Thanks for the recruiting job, Fritz. I owe you a beer... or at least a cup of coffee.

I'll probably bring my own smokepole, but Mudwalker doesn't shoot one, and she didn't fare so well with mine at the range last time. She hit the killzone, but it was on someone else's target!

I'm hoping there's lots of opportunities where we can use the modern rifles. I'd sure like to see her take some game with her .270.
