I bought a couple of the 4.5aH 6V batteries from All Electronics. They just came in today!! Yee Haww!!

Anyhow.... I needed a battery charger for them. I have a little 6v charger for a cordless drill, but that supplies a constant charge and could overcharge the battery. Also got my charger for my boat, with a 6v switch, but the amps are too high.

Hmmmmm.. got to thinking... my old camcorder battery charger. YEP.. 6Volts!! I was in business. It charges to a point then cuts off... you know.. the little LED indicators.

I had to modify it so it would charge without a camcoder battery mounted, but no big problem.

I took one of my new batteries and hooked it up. The battery was at 6.25Volts when I starterd charging. With the charger, the current was 1.2amps and it charged to around 9volts.. (It was at 8.56 volts when I left it). I checked on it in about 15 minutes and the charger had turned off. The battery was a 6.56volts.

Sounds like a winner!! What'cha think??
