Point A to Point B
The Greater Phoenix Orienteering Club has scheduled its semi-annual "Land Navigation" course March.27 and March.29. The classroom session will be March 27, followed by a 4-mile "hands-on" session March 29 near Superior. The course will cover compass use, interpreting topological maps and other methods of getting from one point to another. Cost: $100 (includes meals, notebook and map). Registration required. A 9 1/2-pound largemouth at Saguaro Lake, caught by 10-year-old Chad Prince of Mesa. Prince, who was fishing with his mother, used a waterdog for bait on his Snoopy rod and reel.
