Default 2013 Deer hunt success rate for JHO

Stories and check ins are great but for best accuracy, only post or vote after YOU are done hunting. If you haven't gotten a deer yet but plan on hunting more then don't vote. Or, if you tag out early then vote seeing as how you can't hunt anymore. If your season hasn't started yet by the time you see this...don't worry it'll still be there after you get back. Good luck fellas. I know that last year's poll can't be accurate, but I think that the average JHO'er is a better hunter than the average hunter. Also, PLEASE ANY LURKERS: poll is totally anonymous so don't be afraid to vote and contribute to science. (Nobody will know)

So OBVIOUSLY there shouldn't be any votes for a while unless somebody knows they won't be hunting, or if they get one early, probably an archer. Who's going to be first?

While I'm not done hunting yet, technically I can answer the question, so there you have it...

Got one at ~20 yards opening day A zone.
This is public land, we're not hunting we're hiking with guns.

Tag soup for the 6th year in a row! Saw tons of deer this season, just never managed to put one on the ground, despite spooking a buck of a lifetime, missing a 3x2, and having a nice fork walk by while my rifle was still in my truck. Guess it wasn't meant to happen. I was planning on hunting D5, but due to money and time constraints, it just ain't gonna happen. Next year...

Just blacktails? Because I got a muley. My son got one of each. My husband hasn't got to hunt in California yet, thanks to the Rim Fire. Will probably bring a muley back from Colorado like he almost always does.
