I would like to try this. Is it realistic to do this in a Kayak? Do they tell you where to go to fish or do you have to know the spots?

I've done this in the past and had fun & some success, but do not like that they allow teams to take them with a fishing pole too. It should be a bow fishing only.

I have a couple of buddies that did it on paddle boards so the Kayak would work. They had to enter as a boat team and only fell a few times. Not the easiest thing to do from a paddle board.

A kayak is considered a boat

No matter. I probably won't enter anyway. Never been a fan of organized anything.

My buddy and I took 3rd place as a boat team. The spread was very small with three fish separating 1st from third place. There were lots of teams this year and a ton of raffle prizes but the fish were scarce.
