When President Dan Richards of the California Fish and Game commission was tossed out on his ear for hunting, reporter Michael C. Bolton of the Birmingham (Ala.) News wrote that California and Alabama aren't different states. They are different planets.

Gun ownership in Calif is 20% and hunters are less than 1%.

So the opinions of non-gun owners and non-hunters in California are critical here.

So if you go to Idaho on a lion hunt with dogs, you are probably going to peeve a lot of voters in California, who neither own guns nor hunt.
