Heading to Benz Ranch

Heading to Benz ranch tomorrow night for a Monday-Tuesday hunt. Its my first ever reservation with WU so i'm really looking forward to it. Actually its my first time ever hunting private land in CA.

Archery hunting with my 10yo son in tow. Hopefully we'll see something. Any other WU members feel free to message me with any tips that might help

I thought WU pig season opens with deer season. Did it not affect the Benz Ranch?

Cummings and Benz are currently open for the extended rifle pig season, i'm sure you can use rifle or bow. They close August 10th.

With so many pigs on the ranches they are keeping ranches open

I really wanted to go last weekend but already had my reservation for this weekend at Twin Peaks. I had heard that Benz was not getting enough use and with no hunting on tejon right now they have been on the move so they did an extended rifle pig for two weeks.

I didnt see jack. But it was my first time on the property and I had a kid to contend with. If someone wants to go back before season ends let me know. I'd love to go again.

When I last hunted Benz, the only pigs we saw were the ones that came under the fence from the Cedar Canyon Ranch. The rain had washed a hole under the fence letting Cedar Canyon pigs come over. From the distance we can tell the Cedar Canyon owner was pretty pissed watching us picked on his trespassing pigs.

Oh yeh I saw some holes in that fence up near the ravine. My kid was a little creeped out by the bulls.
