    Default Local pond around Ventura?

I'm having really hard time finding a local pond I can use to throw a bumper for my dog near Ventura.
The closest places I know are about 40+ miles away. Doable, but getting old really quick...

    Any advise is appreciated.

    Thanks.

All I had to do was google maps Ventura, CA and I already found 3 right in city limits. One is right next to Food Share Inc. Regional Food Bank. The other two are off E. Vineyard Avenue, between Thames River Dr. and Montgomery Ave. Good luck getting your pup started on bumpers.

IK13 I let my dog swim at the river-mouth by the fairgrounds if you're not walking distance there's a parking area on Main street across from Peking st. just after you pass under hwy 33, follow the bike trail till it makes a 90 degree turn as it hits the beach. Watch out for bums they live in the trees.

Thanks. I'm on the other side of town, but I know the place. Didn't it have some access restrictions due to (imaginary) steelhead?

Look in Newbury Park..by Dos Vientos.

It is a little like, but fresh water.

Steelhead aren't imaginary. I've seen them. They caused a ruckus when found on Pendelton too.
