    Default Imperial valley canals?

I have ten days off starting friday. Gonna spend the first few in the sierras fly fishing. But when I get back I wanted to try bowfishing the canals. If someone who knows the area could point me toward some tilapia that would be awesome. Or if someone wants to meet up.

Hard core dude, it'll be 110F+ down there. Carpholeo is our resident IV canal expert. Give him a shout. Carpholeo, you out there? YOu get a new carpdawg yet?

There's a canal off 65th St I think it is by Mecca where I've wacked talapia before. FOlks are always there fishing for them too. Johnson Rd south of there if it's still open.

Carpdog that passed away a few years back. Heck of a carp retriever.

That dog is awesome! Yeah, I know it will be hot. But I'm used to it from hunting jacks in the summer. Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Hey, Tilapia are never a sure thing, just finding them can be almost impossible. The last success i had was below Imperial dam when the water was real low. Theres monster carp to be had all along the All American and East Main canals and below Imperial Dam. Its a long way to go if the water is cloudy or the wind is howling. I always make it a combination fishing/bowfishing trip, lots of good bass and big flatheads in those waters. Heres a few pics of my last few trips out there
