A mess of Spring Steelhead. Spawn sacks and Wig-L-Warts both were working.

Wish i could catch a Trout like my Grandpa Well my grand father loved to go fish Great Bear Lake, Canada, . This trip Dick Bumstead of Bumstead's Sporting Goods organized the trip in 1969. The news paper also read they caught a lot of grayling in the 2-3 pound class from shore and it said my grand father caught a large northern pike. Those were the days. His trout was weighted in at 23#.

Here's a photo of my friend Mulies4ever (one of our great forum members) who hasn't posted for many moons, here he is with a 33 lb Mackinaw trout he caught at Flameing Lake Utah if I remember corectly. There are only a handfull of lakes that hold these babies, the closet one to.us is Lake Tahoe. Trying to plan a trip there to fish for Mackinaw within the year at Tahoe.....tra

Crane Prairie, Upper Deschutes (Wickup in drawdown), Wickiup, Wickiup, Wickiup, Billy Chinook, Billy Chinook, Billy Chinook, Lava?, Wickiup. Did I get most of em right?

Duck, read some recent reports of a 13 lb and similar browns coming out of Paulina. Roads open all the way to East Lake. Was touristing up there with family last weekend as saw a legion of tubers working the se shore of East with flies.

No big fish pics but I pulled a monster 14 inch redside out of the Deschutes near Redmond. Actually a big one for that section. My dad and I both had redside on the Blitzen close to 22 last week. Fish fought like clumps of weeds in the ice melt.

Here's my fishing mentor ( The Chew ) with some more nice rainbows he caught, an 8#, 5# and 3# that he's reeling in at my favorite watering hole, he's retired now and does nothing but fish every week, lake, pier, surf and ocean, it must be nice!...tra
P.s. I got 12 more years to retire so I can finally fish everyday with my good retired friends!.....tra

If there was a thread for the smallest trout you've ever caught, I'd have plenty of pics...

Every one right except the second to last one of the rainbow is actually acranebow, not Lava. Good calls though and yeah I fished East last week for 12 trout, nothing of size.

super nice trout for sure! always feels great to bring a big one in! temps are perfect now, the trout will be cruzing the top water for food source. i have never fished Camanche yet but Pardee many times right down the road. cant-hit-em have u ever fished Amador? oh yeh what did u catch it with bait or lure? i am going to try and hit my favorite watering hole monday or tuesday for a little trout action and hope the water levels are up and settled. thanks for sharing!....tra

I fished Amador yesterday , put 4 in the boat trolling Rapala J-9 in black and gold and fire tiger. This one was caught on a J-11 Brown trout pattern . Amador is muddy right now and a lot of floating stuff in the water but it seemed like everyone was catching including the bank fishermen . These are yesterday from Amador:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1355635309.781655.jpg
