Default Question for Condor Zone hunters. Lead free ammo sources

I am seeking ammo info for the following calibers:

    .17HMR
    .22
    22-250
    .243
    300WINMAG
    .308
    12Ga 3" BB or #4buck

What is there, where do ya get it and is Paso Robles 100% within the zone?

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000. The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.

    Does the longer .22 Winchester® Super-X cycle in semi-autos w/o a problem? Haven't found a .17hmr yet.

I just ordered a bunch of lead free ammo from Midway. Even with shipping it was cheaper than at Big 5 or the local ammo dump. Midway also has LF bullets for reloading.

Interesting tidbit: FHL requires lead free INCLUDING shotgun ammo. I didn't know this until I was reading their regs for hunting.
Well, there was a bump, a thump, a cloud of dust, and the smell of turnips wafting through the air...

There's unleaded ammo for all of the calibers you mentioned from several manufacturers. Winchester makes a .22 LR tin bullet. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything positive about the round.

What are you using the 12 gauge 3" for? If it's for predators, I would suggest 12 gauge 3", Federal "BlackCloud - Snow goose" in #2 shot (steel shot, 1 1/8 ounce load at 1635 fps). This was (until Remington came out with a faster load) the fastest shotgun load on the market. It patterns well with my Carlson "Dead Coyote" choke tube. FYI - if your shotgun has a muzzle brake, the Federal "Flitecontrol" wad will not work as it was designed. I haven't shot Winchester's "Blindside" but it looks like a killer.

For the best prices I go to seekammo.com I have found everything there even a lot for my 444. Gun shows are all summer long too if you need it quick.

June 2/3 Crossroads in Orange County
July 7/8 Joshua Tree Grizzly Gun Shows
    July 27/28 Crossroads in Ontario

I am waiting for Ontarios show as it is a nicer building and is much closer. Maybe we will see each other there??

seekammo.com is great to find retailers but they don't show what is on sale, e.g. last night I ordered some Federal 243 with 85gr TSX Barnes bullets from Cabellas (Admiral's favorite deer round) - retail was $37.99 but on sale for $29.99. Also the 30-06 with 110gr TTSX (my deer and the Admiral's hog round) was on sale fo $40 rather than $47. And they have free shipping on $99 or more. I'm not advertizing for Cabela's, just using as an example of pricing that doesn't show up on seekammo.com.

I had a hard time finding lead free 243 rounds in a light weight bullet like the 58 grain Vmax Hornady I usually shoot for coyotes. Finally located these. Very similar ballistics.

    Found the LF in .17HMR, .22, 22-250, .308 & .300WM today...243 yet. Looking for a heavy .243 bullet.

The heaviest I've found for my 6mm Rem. is an 85 grain Barnes Triple-Shock.
