Birds still working? Youth hunter wanting to go

Was thinking of trying to get my kid out this weekend for the end of youth season. Are the birds showing any interest or is it getting too late?

they are near concord. saw a big group yesterday. a young jake was acting like "the man"! and chasing some others around. i got to 6 feet of them.

i'm done. my piece of land..the owners loaded it up with cattle and are chasing them with quads and motorcycles. the turkeys are gone.

They're still fired up in California. If your kid wants to go, I wouldn't hesitate.

my boy got a bird a 7 this morning,the tom was all alone and gobbing like mad and when we left A mile away we stoped and called and had another bird gobbling,hopefully that bird will be in the same place tomarrow for him.

Final hours, going to give it a shot on the last day of archery season. Hope I hear something this morning but if I don't it's still been a great season and I'm looking forward to the start of summer. It was amazingly quiet with not a soul in site yesterday at Dinkey Creek in the Western Sierras and what a great day!Dinkey Creek 5-20-2012 017.jpg
