    Default Time for a new couch

    I was thinking recliner couch.

    any suggestions? Looks like I will need to spend about $1000?

    do you prefer fabric or leather?

    My thoughts on fabric;
    harder to clean.

    My thoughts on leather;
    I don't want to sweat immediately after my skin touches it.

    I also want to be able to lay on the couch like a normal couch and be comfortable.

    Post up links and suggestions if you have any.

    I've got one for sale! It's a 4 pc sectional from Douglas for sale, check it out: http://santabarbara.craigslist.org/fuo/3006689376.html. This is what you need! It currently says that a sale is pending because someone cantacted me and said they'd send money before picking it up but I haven't heard anything from them since and I'm starting to think someone was trying to scam me. Anyway, 3 reliners, microfiber, guardsman stain protector w/ 4 years left of warranty. Let me know!

    Oh well, at least i recommend this couch. It's been good to us, microfiber is awesome, just get a good fabric protectant, dontcheap on that and you'll be good. Good luck.

    looks like you need to spend ~$2k to get a 'nice' couch. I'm not going to spend that much on a couch so I will keep my old ugly uncomfortable ones.

    We just replaced ours, got a big sleeper so company can crash on it (I have daughters who like to have sleepovers). The trick (especially if you have pets) is to get slipcovers that are machine washable made. You can change the look of the sofa seasonally by changing the covers which is kinda nice. My wife uses brighter colors in the spring & summer, fall patterns in autumn and Christmas colors for the holidays. Not very expensive to have covers custom made, just be sure to select good material that won't unravel after numerous washings. Your couch will always look sharp.
    Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

    The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000. The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.

    No kids and my dogs don't come into the house. They have their own house. I also have a 5 bedroom house and it's just me and the girlfriend.

    Thanks for the input though.

    how much did you pay? post up a picture if you don't mind.

    no dogs or cats? microfiber is your friend. you dont need to spend that much money for a couch. my rich friends got a great couch CHEAP at JCpenneys..and they krap money.

    me i have dogs and cats. i needed to go with the leather. i got my couch and love seat from Copenhagen for $1600. so i dont think you will need to spend $1k. Ashley furniture is a great place to find some good deals.

    no shame in kicking your shoes off in the showroom to lay down on the couch. you need to know how it feels as a nap spot.
