I just heard about some sorta thing they aired on tv about dogs tearing a bear apart. The Anti's never show the truth

I just got an email from California Houndsmen for Conservation. This thing has been really bumped up. It has bypassed the committee and is going straight to hearing this Monday. They're asking houndsmen and supporters to show up again, I assume with our rigs. I'm going; I was out of the state last time.

Well, I went to the hearing today, and it didn't go well for us. The chair started off by telling us it was a financial hearing only, but then when the HSUS representative got rolling on presenting their argument, she only stopped her for being off topic once. And then when it was our side's turn to present the argument, the chair was incredibly insulting, implying that she was afraid of them if they went over the time limit and she had to cut the last of the three speakers off.

The Senate's financial advisors and two of the committee members were against it, but you all know how it went anyway. Senator Walters moved to table the amendment and Senator Dutton agreed with her, presenting a nice dig about the lawmakers micromanaging agencies like the DFG. They voted to send it to vote on the Senate floor, and I don't know when that will be.

The one good thing was our presence there. She let the audience stand at the mic and give their name and whether they were for it or against it. The anti side had two or three people. Our side must have had two hundred, and we were all polite. Not like those demonstrators in Oakland destroying property.

I'll be there on the 14th.If they ban bear huntn w/dogs I'm not buying a bear tag this year and most likely be taking 2 dogs to Idaho. I'm voting Republican from now on. Forget the rest. No more mr nice guy.
