Default Brunton & Alpen spotting scopes

Does anyone have any experience with any of these spotting scopes? Good/Bad. Lets hear it. I was looking into the 20x50 ultralite at 10oz. The clarity seems great but I'd like to hear real world experience. Their warrantee is incredible and their local.
I'd be using the spotting scope for backcountry hunts. I'm currently using 10x42 nikon monarch atb bino's. I'm looking to see a little further out, but not miles and it has to be extremely light and compact.
