Default Brunton & Alpen spotting scopes

Does anyone have any experience with any of these spotting scopes? Good/Bad. Lets hear it. http://www.rei.com/category/40004437 I was looking into the 20x50 ultralite at 10oz. The clarity seems great but I'd like to hear real world experience. Their warrantee is incredible and their local. http://www.alpenoptics.com/index.html
I'd be using the spotting scope for backcountry hunts. I'm currently using 10x42 nikon monarch atb bino's. I'm looking to see a little further out, but not miles and it has to be extremely light and compact. http://www.opticsplanet.net/alpen-20...-case-711.html
