    Default PET GROUND SHIPPING COMPANY??

Does anyone know of a ground shipping company that will ship pups (either individually or as a group shipment) from Nuevo, CA to Bend, OR? The only ones I can find cost around $700, which is completely out of the question. It will cost me around $300 in gas to drive down there, but I am willing to pay as much as $400 to ship the pup up, so I can save time. Only want ground transport, since flying can be a permanently traumatic experience for a young pup. Thanks for anyone who can help or knows of a company. It will be ready for pickup on May 15. It's a GSP if it matters.

I got a few quotes when I was bringing a pup from Siletz, OR to the SF Bay Area and they were in the 750.00 range! If you do find something post it, I've made that trip on several occasions and its a long drive, I am sending my dog up for some training and boarding this summer wheile I am travelling to Africa, I definately would use something if it were affordable. The thought of driving up and back twice in 30 days is making me cringe.

I would even settle for Nuevo, CA to San Jose, sent to my friend's house. That's at least only a 17-hour drive round trip, compared to 30+.

Got a bidder from Uship offering $440 from SoCal to Bend by the name of D&S Enterprises. Anyone know of any cheaper bids? I doubt they're out there, but I'll give it a chance.

Have you checked with GSP rescue in either CA or OR? Often times rescue org's have "Underground Railroad" type of transport system where one volunteer is meeting another and the dog gets to it's final destination. They would welcome a donation from you that would benefit you both. Many rescue volunteers are traveling to dog shows or trials anyway, so donate their time and effort to rescue. Good luck with the pup, I bet you can't wait.
Think me not unkind and rude,

And fetch His word to men.

Definitely can't wait. I accepted a bid for $261 to ship from Nuevo to San Jose and will drive down to pick it up at my buddy's house. In the middle of May.

Vegabond hound is another transport company... Last I herd they were around the 250-300 range. That was for a Texas to san bernardino trip...
