Default Anyone want to hunt some coyotes?

Hello everyone, so I'm basically a poor college student and I really need to go hunting. It's been a while. I have never done any predator hunting. I have all my own equipment(guns, ammo, truck, and camo) I have no calls or place to hunt them is the problem. Also it's getting really hard to find kids my age that hunt and if they do they aren't serious about it like I am. I want to learn some things. I'm in the redding area, and will drive within 45 minutes of here. Very respectful of property, and of the regulations. Currrently going to school to be a warden actually. Just send an PM or email me at shanedante0917@yahoo.com. I'm willing to hunt anything legal actually.

Sorry to the moderators of I'm not supposed to post things like this?

I hope some one jump at this and takes you hunting. We need more young people like yourself in to our sport. And we difently need Wardens who hunt and know hunters. Good luck! If you lived in my area I'd take you out to my yote spot.

i second that wino. i use to live up there, right at the base of theat mt in your avatar pic as a matter of fact. i moved a while ago and never hunted that area but i would head north to shasta lake area or west to whiskey town lake. im sure there is yotes up there and you might even get on some pigs in that area. good luck and let us now how it goes.

Thanks everyone, and north above shasta lake is where I live. It's in the mountains on the West(B zone) side of I5. Near a gas station by the name of polar flat. There used to be lots of coyotes up here, I remember listening to them at night when I was a kid. I think the lions drove them all out though because I've only seen 1 coyote in the last 6 years in the mountains where I live. Never hear them anymore. There use to a lot of porcupines too, cougars whipped them completely out. I got my trapping license when I was 13, it was a real pain to get in California. Seems that there is only grey foxes, fishers and ringtail cats and occasionally a bob cat in my immediate area. Grey foxes are the only thing that isn't protected, all though I've seen more fishers kill my chickens than anything else.

Polar Flat! do they still have that maniquin in the tub in the bath room? Man i haven't been up there in a while. thats to bad about the game in that area. what about whiskey town lake area? might be worth checking out. the lions probably dont go that far down so maybe the dogs went down there. You can always ask the local warden for a good place. they are usually pretty helpful, especially if you talk to them in person.

Haha, yes there is still the mannequin. I occasionally bring friends in there to scare them.
