Default First bass at puddinstone 2012

Caught my first Puddingstone bass of 2012 a healthy 4+lb near life guard boat dock this morning. It was awesome, a baby rage creature bait did the trick. All from shore! Im going to try float tube next weekend, sail boat cove is looking good.

Nice fish! Is the water any cleaner these days. I remember it being closed to swimming for months on end because of the bacterial counts.

Can't count how many hours we spent around there growing up. One of the most diverse fisheries in the state, thanks to people dumping there aquarium fish there. Are people still catching eels at the lake?

No ells or aquarium fish that I know of and the water is in great condition these days. Its a very policed area now L.A. county sheriffs. I work for L.A. county flood control department that controls the dam, the water in and out of the dam itself. I also work for the local yard that maintains the dam and all channels leading in and out. I personally bulid the concrete structures to measure the leakage points from the dam.I personally know the guys who shipped the bass in from one of our other dams that was drained for repairs years ago. Its a wondeful fishery and can stay that way if we practice catch and release. If you need to eat some take the 1 pounders, I have seen alot of fisherman not practicing catch and release which is there right under the law, but hurts the fishery a little when they keep the big dawgs. There are plenty of big bass and average size if you know the lay of the lake. As you can tell this is one of my favorite dams in the area.
Still dont have capability to post pics, but I got a phone full of pic's!!! If you chose to send pesonal message with #, up to you.

Can't wait for the time change to get here. That way I can ride my bicycle up there after work and get a couple hours fishin in before the boss gets home
