    Default Arrggggg

I'm taking my daughter to the Appleseed project rifle course this weekend and the course guidelines require a rifle sling. Problem is, the 10-22 she'll be using doesn't have swivels and nobody I have contacted will install them. They will sell them to me (the screw in type) but won't touch the actual drilling/installation and I gotta believe if the gun shops won't touch it, there must be some talent required (ie: it's easy to screw up). I have a couple of days to get this done...any thoughts/suggestions?
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000. The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.

Check out this video from Larry Potterfield at Midway USA. He goes through the whole procedure.

All you need is a cordless drill and a steady hand. No problem.
It's good to have a plan. That way you have something to change.......

does it have to be functional or will the illusion be enough? If not use 3M double sided foam. even if she is required to sholder it, it will stay on im sure. I used it in other applications where where weight was a concern. Never had an issue. Get it at Home depot.

The sling is needed because they teach you how to properly use it while shooting. (wrap your arm in it and pull the rifle in tight)
