In order to offer their courses at minimal cost to students, Hunter Education Instructors in the Santa Clarita, San Gabriel Valley, and South Bay areas are looking for facilities which can host their classes.
Although all the instructors donate their time, the space in which to hold their classes often comes at a high cost—$18/student is one going rate, and it’s going up—and some places where courses used to be held—in recreation centers at city or county parks—are now unavailable due to administrators’ reluctance to be associated with firearms or hunting in any way.
So, if you know of a room in the South Bay/Santa Clarita/San Gabriel Valley areas which could host a Hunter Education class on an occasional basis for free or a nominal fee, please contact me at email@example.com or (562) 429-7249 with the details.
Some examples of places where courses could be held include sportsmen’s clubs, service organizations (Elks/Eagles/Masonic lodges), church halls, VFW posts, and conference rooms at businesses. If you have access to these facilities, please consider helping our instructors who are helping ensure hunters stay safe, and carry on a noble sport and tradition.
