    Default 357 mag reloading round

Hi all, this will be the first time reloading pistol rounds. I have a Ruger 357 mag. western style, single action with a 6'' barrel. The bullets I will be useing are the Hornady 180 gr. HP-XTP,powder H110, 12.5gr.,
primers CCI 350 and shell caseings Winchester metallics. Wondering what some of you guys think of this load? The loads will be for bear hunting. Any and all answers greatly appreciated. Thanks

You would be better off with a much larger caliber and a slug designed for deeper penetration. To give you an idea; my .41 mag has as it's lightest bullet weight a 170 grainer, and the same powder used but the charge is 23.9 gr. Almost 1.800 fps over my chronograph. And, I wouldn't load THAT for bear. I'm just sayin'.
It's good to have a plan. That way you have something to change.......
