My wife's friend lives in Vancover and in her group of friends there, there are a group of guys that go moose hunting in BC. The guys have informally invited me to go but when I look at the rules on the BC website it seems to indicate that foreigners must go with a guide. There are exceptions where a local can take someone if they register but it seems like it is limited to family (example - can take brother that does not live in BC).

I wonder if there are any work arounds for this issue.
