Finally, my first draw hunt for California! I drew an antelope tag for Likely Tables period 1. I have read some past JHO posts on the Likely Tables hunt but also would like any feedback from previous antelope hunters who know anything about the unit. I had max points and am very excited about the opportunity to chase after these speed goats! I will start scouting in July.![]()
I too drew the same tag...maybe I'll see you out there...this will my first lope hunt...cant wait.

Congrats you will have a fun hunt, my wife and I drew that hunt 2 years ago, had a great hunt she got her first big game animal and it was my first antelope. We hunted south of Alturas and east of 395 if want any more details PM me and I can call you or get my map and give you some more details
devobrodie, thank you for the insightful information regarding Likely Tables. I'll keep you posted on what I see on the scouting trip and the hunt, thanks BC
Check out the area around Payne Reservoir. South of Alturas. Also, there are some nice goats up on the "Garden". Look above Big Sage Reservoir. Does DFG still do the pre-hunt meeting? If so, make sure to go to it. They have maps that show antelope locations. Very helpfull getting starting points. Fun hunt and fantastic eating criters. Watch some of the roads. On some I swear I could have gotten out and walked faster. Lots of lava rock and bouncy going.

Kentuck, Thanks for the great tips! So far I haven't heard or been told of a mandatory pre_hunt meeting.
