Default Chino Planes Of Fame Air Show May 14-15 2011. 100 Years of Naval Flight. WWII

I missed the Blue Angels at El Centro for their opener but getting to film a flight of some WWII Navy fighters for Media Day made up for it.

Wahoooo!!! a Navy F4U Corsair. This was my first U-control plane I flew as a kid, the one with the U handle and two wires to the wing. My sister and I took it up to our elementary school and I made one full circle and it went straight up and then came straight down and crashed on the playground. I almost cried, my sister looked at me and asked why I didn't bother to learn to how to control it first.

The Air Show is May 14-15 2011 and it's a hoot. A bit smaller than the big shows at the Naval and USAF shows so there's not a bad seat in the house.

Those Merlins were nice, but I still love to hear a large radial.

Man, they just don't make stuff like that anymore.

I love watching the wings unfold on carrier based aircraft like the Hellcat and Corsair!

Even caught my fav...the P-38 Lightning.

Thanks for posting the vid, Jesse! That must have been a hoot!
