AGFD

11/25/02

An Arizona Game and Fish Department sport-fishing education clinic is set for Bonsall Park in Glendale from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dec. 7.

Bonsall Park is located at the southeast corner of 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Rainbow trout will be stocked into the park pond for this event. There will be free raffle prizes, food, and refreshments. For more information, contact the Glendale Parks, Recreation and Library Department at (623) 930-2043.

Sport-fishing instructors will be available to provide instruction and answer your questions about fishing. Game and Fish will also have available for loan to the public – on a first-come, first-served basis – 100 rods and reels, and a limited supply of bait.

Participants 14 years and older may fish without a state or urban fishing license between sanctioned fishing clinic hours, as long as they register at the Game and Fish booth, located at the fishing site. All participants wanting to fish before or after sanctioned fishing clinic hours must be lawfully licensed, with the exception of those who do not need a license – blind residents and juveniles under 14 years of age.
