i put a doe down last night with my xbow. i hunted a spot my wife picked out. it was my first time there this year and the fist hunt out of our new blind. the doe came out in the corn firld just before sunset and gave me a 20 yrd shot. the bolt went in just in front of the hip and went up in its lungs. i had to get some help tracking cuz i could not find any blood. my brother picked up some blood about 30 yards from where it was shot. and we found the deer inside the wood line about another 20 yards.
Congrats on your bow kill :)

you got that right Muley. we just got done with the inside loins.
put a 7 point down last night. trick or treat. me and my brother took his grandson out to track and recover the deer. he is 5 or 6 and he really liked it. he ask lots of questions and did a good job looking for blood. it was really cool to pass this skill of blood tracking down to a young kid.
Awesome, congrats!
good job.
souds like the ills are stacking up..if i don't quit passin' on the smaller ones i may end up eating a tag hahahaha ' NOT'
another one bites the snow.
hunted 5 days of gun season and hadnt got a shot. we got 3 inches of snow today and i was only in my blind 10 min. then i see two deer walking up the fence row 120 yards from me. i turn my scope up to 4x and reach for my stix when they start walking real fast. so forget the stix they are going to hit the woods fast.as i pull my 870 up they start trotting. i make sure the one angeling to me doesnt have bone on its head. then put the crosshairs on the point of the shoulder and pull the trigger. smack right in the shoulder and it crashes 5 yards from the hit just inside the woods. after i drag it into the picked corn field and tag it i range to my blind it was 96 yards. the snow makes them stick out like a sore thumb and made the drage easy as pulling a kid on a sled. ( we can only take one buck a year in ohio) the night befor i had a nice buck come up the same fence row but had to let him walk. told my wife she should go sit there but she didnt want to go out tonight. im powerless over what she decides but ill go if she wont. maybe one day she will learn to stick it out on the cold snow days. ( what am i thinking maybe next time i should tell her its a good day to stay home)
Right on catchdog! Way to go.
