Out takes: Family finds delightful crocodile carved into sand at Lake Powell

Karen Judkins saw the Out Takes photo from Sept. 5 and it reminded her of a picture she took recently during a family trip to Lake Powell. It seems the area inspires many artists. The Judkinses found this 7-foot crocodile carved into the sand in Moki Canyon. The creature had shells as teeth and claws. Other creations at the site included a dolphin, a jeep and a shark fin.
