Canada--
Jim Sammons, host of The Kayak Fishing Show, is known worldwide for pushing the limits of kayak fishing. During the shooting of an episode of The Kayak Fishing Show, Jim hooked up with world champion whitewater kayaker's Ken Whiting and Brendan Mark on Canada's Ottawa River. The goal was to paddle through the river's rapids to access remote and otherwise inaccessible bays. While running the first major rapid, Jim Sammons learns the hard way that running whitewater in a fishing kayak can be both terrifying, and potentially deadly. Trapped in the grips of a powerful hydraulic, a daring rescue is required to pull Jim to safety.
