    Default Summer Crappie

    It's been a really great year for crappie on Brownlee Reservoir on the Snake River in E.Oregon. Lots of 10-11" white & black crappie. This catch was made yesterday by a party of 3, 218 fish in 4 hours. Best cycle of crappie we've had in the last 15 years by far.

    Nice haul!!

    That's a damn good question. How's the bite in late Oct?

    It can be good that late, just depends on the weather at the time. In early Nov of 04 out of a catch of 50 we brought in 4 crappie that totaled 10lbs. 3.06,2.77,2.37 & 1.8. Never had a catch of slabs like that before or since but the fall can be good.
