    Default Another one from Tejon

Saw this one couple hundred yards away just standing there. With the hog quatering away I let the 270 bark. The 130 grain GMX went in the right lung and came out the neck. He took two steps down hill, fell and caught his nose under a log. Good thing that log was there because he could of kept rolling further. To big and steep to drag by myself and no road down below, I tied him up and quartered him right there. Took me two trips to bring all the meat out. My first one with a rifle but it's back to the bow for now.

Thanks guys. Right after I took those photos I was thinking of how I could take better money shots but I didn't want him to slide further down the hill not tied off. So I tied him off to a tree 10 yards uphill, I pulled his right leg and snout out from under that log he slid a couple feet. That's when I said screw it that's all the pics I'm going to take. I've got too much work ahead of me. I wish could have taken better money shots. I got it way outside the special area where you have to bury everything so I set the head in a tree for the ants and am heading back out there to get it next weekend. Hopefully the ants did most of the work for me. Those cutters had to be about 2" long. It would make a nice skull mount.
