    Default Raptor hunting

I saw on the main page that this is the Raptor hunting forum. I was wondering, are you referring to the Velociraptor? I ask because I thought they were extinct. If not, where can I hunt one? Not looking for anyones honey hole or anything, just a general place to start looking. Is it dangerous? I rember in Jurasic park they hunted in packs, and attacked from the side. If anyone would like to meet up and hunt together, im game. Seems like it would be much safer that way. Are the tags hard to draw? Do you think a 30-06 would be enough? Sorry, lots of questions haha. Im just very interested. Thanks

In 1985, scientists were able to isolate the genes of the Velociraptor in a specimen of fossilized dung, and began several experiments to attempt to clone one. This was a very difficult venture and subject to frequent catastrophic failures. One failure in a small independent laboratory in Canada allowed cloned speimens to escape into the wild. Wardens were able to retrieve only half of the escapees, and the remaining started breeding and spread across the continent. They have been known to terrorize small rural commuunites, comsuming pets, livestock, and vagrants.

Because the situation has become so unmanagable, the government has declared open season on any and all velociraptors, however lisencing and permits are very difficult to obtain.

My best wishes to your velociraptor hunts!
