    Default 01' Jeeper wrangler sport

Now I know ever garage is gonna be different, but does anyone have a ballpark figure on what a garge is gonna charge me to put a 4in suspension lift on a Jeep wrangler? Im definately not the mechanic and doing it myself is probably out of the question. Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't think more than $800 to do both front and back if there all bolt on parts.

4 hours. say $100 per hour. this doesnt include the alignment.

honestly, DIYing this project isnt difficult. i lifted a CJ7 with a floor jack and basic handtools. add a simple transfer case drop to your kit.

4 hrs?? maybe but 400$ no way I would guess min 1k$. Sancho and iroc are right... it is quite simple.. and a case of beer and some friends is alot more fun and cost efficient than a mech. IMO

I have an 05 Ram it took me and two other buddies a weekend had to buy a special socket to put on a six inch lift. With a used kit missing some bolts and some downloaded instructions of the web. By Monday I threw the wheels and tires on took it to a tire shop and had them balanced and aligned. The only advice I would offer if doing it yourself don't be in a rush. We got it tore apart, had to dig for some bolts and nuts. Then found out the truck was too low on the floor jack. So had to stack some 4x4's on the jack to get it high enough. But it wasn't that bad. We went into it with the mentality that we work on million dollar airplanes. It can't be that bad. It wasn't.

I would do it again if I had to. But back to the topic. It should be less than 1K with mount and balance. Some shops charge anywhere from $45-$85 an hour. I think my kit said it should take an average mechanic about 12 hours ( At home ). So I would plan to at least leave it with the shop for a day or two. 4wheelparts is really good about their maintence. Usually pretty good rep.

Well good luck either way you go. Post some pics of the job!

Thanks for the help guys, i ended up taking her to the shop, the are charging me 950 for kit and installation on a 2in lift. im gonna go with some BFG muds, in 32x11.5 on a 15in rim. think these will rub? im not going to be doing any CRAZY 4 wheeling, this is a go-to work and hunting vehicle.

32" wont rub... If I may... there are these fenders (tube) that you can install and they allow you to run 33" no lift and they keep your center of gravity at stock level. My bud at work got em and coundnt be happier. You said 2'' lift... is that body or suspension? The body lift is something Id recomend stayin away from if so. Look around pirate4x4.com you can get some awesome ideas and realllly good deals off that forum. People are very helpful as well

P21 if you see this I would like to know how this is working out for you. I just picked up an 02 and want to do this exact lift but add a 1" body lift also. Does anything rub with this setup? Have you gone through any bearings etc.? Was there any other mods that you had to do? Steering ,drive shaft angle etc?
