I and my 10 years old found a nice school today. We caught and released about 30 of them. They were all in the one pound range with the biggest one (my son caught it) at 1.24 lbs.

That's a beauty! Crappies are so much fun, when you can find them.

I hope this isn't jacking, but what did you catch them on? I'm still trying to figure them out.

Mini-jigs. The red with white tail color is my choice but I think once you find them, any color will work. Good luck to ya.

Congrats to mini you!and stop releasing them .. we need it next month at Tejon.
My son and i also went out yesterday and got our limit before it rain.
