Late report: Ed and I went and set some traps in a new area, and got completely screwed with by the coyotes, they dug underneath, tried to tip the boxes over, removed every scrap and piece of brush within 3 feet of the boxes. Peed over everything too. Had to pull the boxes after 2 days, too many aggressive yotes in that area. It took a half an hour to an hour for each set, excluding hauling in time and hiking in to check them. There were 4 of them so basically we got 8+ hours of time in on the line for nothing, and that is after gas, time away from family and time not spent hunting quail. Oh well, that is trapping and goes to show this is nowhere near a slam dunk.

Next set was different, I was in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comSan Diego for the holidays, so Ed set 2 up in a canyon closer to home and scored, a double. Good job Ed!
What do you guys use as bait? Whatever it is, seems the foxes LOVE it.
