Coyote had a bad day...
I use a buck decoy often while hunting the Illinois rut and pre-rut.
This night...a very ambitious Coyote was belly-crawling in on my decoy.
He poked his head up through the beans...when he saw me draw.
I squeezed the trigger...and "pop"...like someone splitting a cocoanut was all I heard.
He never made another move or a single sound.
