    Default Montana Bison Hunt

Anyone ever hunt Bison in Montana? Specifically the HD385 area?

I'm considering putting in for a non-res tag and seeing if I can get drawn for the 01 - 22 Jan 2011 hunt.

I thought I'd give this a try before I spend a butt load more money on a large private ranch bison hunt - although after-the-shot work is much easier for me this way.

Any info would be great. Thanks
    Rich

Rich, How much are the tags. I'm thinking about a hunt like this.
    US Army Retired
    Predators Archery:staff Shooter
    Grim Reaper Broadheads:Pro staff
    I shoot Blazer vanes!

    Rich,

Please share any info you might gather. A bison hunt is on my bucket list for sure.
    Life's short . . . Hunt hard

Why tip-toe quietly through life, only to arrive safely at death ?

If you get drawn, the tag is $750, plus the other fees one has to pay just to enter the drawing. You'll habe to check out Montana's FWP site for all of the specifics.

As for info, the hunting areas are only a 2hr drive from where I'll be living and grew up, so I have a lot going for me more so than another non-resident that has never been in that area before.
