Raccoon SRA Archery Program and Shoot September 12

Learn the joys and wonders of shooting archery at Raccoon S.R.A., Sep. 12.
The day is broken in two parts. First, visitors have an opportunity to take part in a program focusing on an introduction to archery. During this program, participants can learn a about the history of archery, as well as necessary equipment.
Second, participants may take part in a traditional archery competition. In this instance, traditional archery equipment means no mechanical parts on your bow. Longbows, recurves, and self bows are included in this category. Arrows must be tipped with field points. No broadheads are allowed. The course will follow the existing archery trail and will consist of 3D and standard targets.
The introduction to archery program begins at 10 a.m. The shoot follows at 1 p.m. Both are located at the head of the archery trail. The event is limited to 15 participants. All ages are welcome. Register before Sep.11 at (765) 344-1412.
There is no fee for the program. Park entrance fees of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 per vehicle for non-residents will apply.
