    Default Hi

I am new to this group my name is robert i live in the corona, ca area. I am in my early 40's and pretty new to hunting. I shot my first buck a 7 pointer in s. cal area by the Grace of God. I just bought a bow so i can get more time to hunt deer, i would prefer a doe because, i am only really after the meat. ofcourse, if a buck would ever cross my path id like that too. I find the californa laws on hunting a bit confussing, i guess that is because i am new to it, but i am tring to get better at understanding what i can and cannot do. i have been tring to coyote hunt but, haven't seen anything as of yet. I have a quad to help get to some areas of hunting but no 4x4 truck which i would really like if i could have afforded it. I work nites and have tuesdays and wednesdays off right now until the company either fires me or lays me off due to economy. which, i hope doesn't happen thx robert

Hey Robert - wellcome. I know you from the CPC forum. I'm in Rancho and I do have a 4x vehicle. I started hunting about a year ago. I've gotten one boar a couple quail, a dove, one coyote and a bobcat (that I'm going to have stuffed - then argue with the wife about where to put it).

THis is a great forum - you'll enjoy it. If you want to combine resources some time let me know.

Welcome to the forum Robert. I am a Corona native myself and I grew up hunting the CNF foothills. Many useful tips on this site. Good luck on the yotes. There is an unlimited supply in your backyard (CNF). Nice job on the 7X. Is that a d-15 deer or did you leave the area to get him.?

"No," replied Johnny. "How could he, with just two worms."

Hi Doug, yes it was d15. I have been looking to go closer to home like in san bernardino mtns. I was there yesturday in fact and found some really good signs. Last year, I seen some deer plus, bucks and does. I can"t use the quad only horses which leaves me out lol.
