Have they come up with any yet?

Oh! We knew they wouldnt go near where you set up your blind!
Short answer... no. Not yet.
22 mag is still the only rimfire option.
He has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct... Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his own conscience rather than a mob of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact.

i heard that the gov.office are trying to pass a ban on 22 and other rimfires cause on the lack of lead free ammo. dose any one know if there is any truth in this rumor?

Haven't heard any such thing.
I guess it's not totally implausible (although I very seriously doubt it's coming from the Governor's office... Schwartzenegger has much bigger fish to fry right now), but I'm guessing you're just hearing rumors.
There IS .22 rimfire non-lead ammo out there, but it's designed for target shooting at indoor ranges (close-range). It's not suitable for hunting.
There is also a company in Italy that has a non-lead .22lr hunting bullet, but the hoops to get it accepted and marketed in the US are apparently more daunting than you'd expect.
I've spoken to some folks in the ammunition industry, and the fact is that it wouldn't be very hard to make non-lead rimfire ammo. The problem is that it would be much more expensive than lead bullets without offering any real benefit in accuracy or effectiveness, so the only place that would offer much demand would be the CA condor zone. Nobody is likely to ramp up production to meet that small demand until a more economical alternative is available.
What I would suggest that you and all CA hunters should do is flood the F&G Commission and your State representatives and legislators with the message that, in light of the absence of non-lead rimfire offerings, the lead ban should be rolled back to allow the use of rimfire ammo that contains lead.. even if it has to specify only .22 lr and shorts, and .17hmr and MachII are allowed. I still believe if someone had the money and chutzpah, a lawsuit could be mounted... and nothing moves the bureaucrats better than the threat of having to fight a lawsuit.
