Had a few fun days fishing the late Red run on the Kenai. Not alot of fish entering the mouth, so ADFG decided to close the lower river on the 1st. We did alright, once we mastered the "Kenai Twitch", and met some good people including JHO'er Waldo.
I did manage to hook a 50lb class King, which made a blistering run before tossing the hook...blistering meaning he blistered the heck out of my thumb...lesson learned. Kim almost had a healthy 20lb Jack, but someone missed with the net...

glad to see ya'll tied into some fish. That is so awesome. Next year lets try to time it when I'll be home from work and we'll go chase lingcod, halibut and salmon in the ocean on my boat.

Hey Ethan, you're on! It was great meeting up with you, and we've decided that breakfast at Sals is gonna be a tradition. Next summer we'll be there for at least two weeks, so we'll have to hook up again and chase some monsters!
