Email it to Jesse (size limit is 125 x 125 I think) as an attachment. Put avatar as subject and give him a few days to get done, then go to "Your control panel" at the top of the forum, under "personal profile" click on "edit avatar settings" look in the list for yours, click on it to highlight it then go to the bottom of the page and click on "add this avatar to to my profile". If you dont have one of your own just choose one in the list.

To add to what LW said, you can also upload your own avatar now. You go to "your control panel" and there is an avatar selection. Follow that link and you can either choose from existing avatars or upload your own. Like LW said, keep the size to 125x125, there are several ways to shrink it down if its too big, just follow one of the links on "how to post your pics here". If you still can't do it then mail it to jesse and he will get to it asap. He usually responds with a email back letting you know that it's done and the name of the avatar.

If you'll read the Help section on avatars you'll see that you CANNOT upload your own avatar. All other avatar info is also explained in the Help section.
