I haven't yet, but I just bought a pack. I shoot Vapor Blackhawk carbon arrows (3000 series). I have been using Innerloc 3blade fixed, 100grain, 1-1/8" cut dia. They just didn't seem to be a good fit with the arrows. So I will be trying the Ultimate 100's this weekend at Malibu Mountain Archers Club. They are only 7/8" in diameter, but the base seems to fit the shaft better. I just lined-up the blades with the vanes yesterday. Maybe, with the shorter broadhead and narrower diameter, the arrows will group better for me (shoot more like my field points). We will see and I will let you know next week.

Thanks for the link to the broadhead test. I will have to give these broadheads some more thought. I did try them this weekend on a sixshooter target(to sight in for hunting), and I must say they shoot almost like my field points as to accuracy. Like 5 shot said of the test, they should do well on a deer with a lung shot, its the bone that worries me. hummmm.

    Orso,
no problem on the link! I personally prefer wasp jakhammers! They are great. To
me i want the biggest cut that i think i can get away with!

They are 1 1/2" to 1 3/4". They even have some that you can change depending
on how big a cut you want.

Most other broadhead i have noticed have only 1" or 1 1/16" something like that. That is not big enough for me. Bigger hole does more damage!

    Hairless one,

It is hard to argue about the cutting diameter...The bigger the cut the better. I was also thinking that 7/8" is a little small, but they tuned sooo good and shot so close to how my field tips shot. I will probably look at some other broadheads before all is said and done.

    Mike,
not only the cutting diameter but the jakhammers have thicker blades also! Which
to me would be a must have for a big cutting head.

The rockets will leave a huge exit hole, alot bigger than the stated cutting diameter. I think it comes from the flesh being stretched out by the point prior to the cutting edges making contact. The holes I get from them are about the same size as the distance from the end of one extended blade, to the tip, and back to the end of the oppostite extended blade (I shoot a 4 blade).

Now this is only my opinion people so dont get upset with me. I tried a set of Steelheads to see what the hype was. First shot into a foam broadhead target......blades broke. Second shot.....blades fell off. Third shot (third broadhead)..... pins sheered. This happened over and over again......used up several packs of replacement blades. I sent Rocket some letters ( 5 to be exact) and i couldnt even get a reply out of them. I didnt even ask for compensation. I just wanted an answer why Myles Keller can shoot through plywood and i cant even shoot foam. So i decided not to take a chance on a live target with that head. Nap Spitfires have never failed me. Bone, trees, rocks........well the rocks kind did those in.
