Seems to be nice. I miss the old 4500 zipper that could get you into the main compartment without going through the top of the bag. I might not have found a secret zipper of something but it looks like you have to go into the main compartment from the roll up lid. I don't like not having the old zipper. The roll up lid makes more noise and its not as fast as a single zipper.

Also, the dang waist belt is super loud. It creeks something fierce. I can't imagine stalking something on a quite morning. My 2200 is super quite, this bag is total opposite. Does it need to be broken in or something? I never encountered this problem before.

I know, call badlands, blah, blah. I just looking to see if I got a lemon or are other experiencing this same dilema......

    Thanks!

I think it may need some break-in. I had the same issue with my 2006 model. Sometimes it still squeeks on me and I have to fiddle with it until it stops. But, of course, if it continues to cause you grief I'd expect Badlands to make it right.

The belt portion is going back to Badlands. I had a rep listen to it on the phone and she said its not supposed to sound like that at all. I'll be sending it back to the hq which is in Salt Lake City UT. They have an inhouse seamstress to fix problems and modify bags. Looks like the person who sewed it in Vietnam didn't do something right....

Anyhow, I'll let you all know how it turns out..

Do you think they could put in a zipper for you if you requested it? Keep us updated on the outcome. Hopefully it will work out for you. I have been eyeing this pack myself so will be curious to hear how things turn out. From what I have heard they are pretty good about keeping their customers happy.

I got another belt from Badlands last week and now, this is the pack I wanted from the start. The new belt is night and day away from the other jacked up loud belt. The new one is super quite and I can now imagine stalking something with the pack on. I like it! I just need to get some blood on it...

Thats why I love badlands product. Not only do they make a great product but they also back it 100%.

I always struggle with the zippers going around the curves.
