TriSquare's eXRS is the Future of Two-Way Radio
11/14/07
Kansas City, Missouri -- TriSquare is using International CES to showcase its new line of eXRS digital two-way radios. eXRS (eXtreme Radio Service) is the new two-way radio system that uses proprietary Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology to provide private and secure communications. "The increasing rate of sales of our eXRS products verifies correct market timing and acceptance." states Gary Staley, President of TriSquare Electronics. "The growing excitement and momentum demonstrate that eXRS is meeting the needs and desires of the users in the two-way radio market."
Unlike most other two-way radios, eXRS radios are license free and there are absolutely no airtime charges or fees required. With no restrictions, eXRS radios may be used by people of any age for personal and business purposes. "The majority of complaints from existing FRS/GMRS users continue to be interference and range," states Mark Worthey. "Interference relates to the inability to hold private conversation without interruption and the range complaints center on the fact that under most conditions of use, the range performance of FRS/GMRS products is not even close to the manufacturers' claims. With eXRS, you will experience private and interference free communications at a usable range equal to or greater than that of other portable UHF two-way radios, including FRS/GMRS radios."
TriSquare offers two models of eXRS radios. The full featured model, the TSX300, provides advanced features that are not allowed on other consumer two-way radios. The most notable are Text Messaging, Caller ID, and Wireless Cloning. The TSX300 has 10 Billion different channels available to the user, so busy channels in crowded areas are a thing of the past. Text Messaging is made easy with the use of the backlit 10-digit keypad and the dot matrix display. The radio comes equipped with six "Ready Notes" built-in standard messages or the user can easily compose and send or save messages as desired.
The TSX300 includes a 10-channel NOAA weather receiver.
Whether in voice or Text mode under normal and equivalent conditions, all eXRS radios have range that is equivalent to other UHF two-way radios
The lower cost TSX100 gives users the eXRS benefits of secure and interference free communications without the advanced features of the TSX300. The TSX100 has 1000 channels and is compatible with the TSX300 on those channels. The TSX100 and TSX300 have phone book style contact lists for storing other users' information, as well as extended battery life, call signaling, and VOX operation.
TriSquare has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of two-way radios since its inception in 1999. Offices are located in Kansas City, MO and Hong Kong.
