I was wondering if the p-52 and the P-32 were the same. Has anyone used one for a trail cam, if so do you wire them the same as a P-32 and do they have about the same trigger speed as the P-32.

The P52 hacks the same as a p32. The 52 is larger and has the extended lens. You can modify the case (1040) with a pvc cap and let the lens stick out past the case or get a larger case and have it fit flush with the case. I find that the pictures are the same with both cameras.

Thanks for the info..
A family member has bought them a new camera and has offered to give me their old P-52. So since the price is right.... I see another trail cam in my future.

Yes, they make a fine trail cam. They take great pictures.

thehunter,
It sounds like you have built one out of a P-52....
I don't suppose that you have any pictures of your setup that you would like to show off ?

Heres one I built with a P52. Its in a 1040 case and controlled by a LE board. I cut down a PVC pipe cap for the extended lens to fit into. You will notice that there is not a hole for the flash. The flash on the camera does not work so I use it for daytime only video and pictures.

That is a snug fit. looks good.
A universal board probably wouldn't fit in a 1040 case would it? I like the 1040 case better than the 1060,but I have a u-board that I'm not using right now so that is the board that I thought I would probably use.

I don't think the Uni would fit. Its in the field right know so I can not check to see if it would fit at the end of the camera.

How do you attach that cam in the picture to the tree?
