Kentucky Afield Features Archery Shopping Spree
Frankfort, Ky. - An archery shopping spree in Lexington, hitting the hybrids at Barkley tail waters and a mouth-watering stop at Fort Knox are ahead as we crisscross the state on "Kentucky Afield" this weekend September 8 and 9 on KET.
September finds host Tim Farmer stalking items for stalking deer. This archery season begins at Sportsman's Warehouse in Lexington for the essentials such as camouflage, scent, broad heads and expert advice.
On the fishing front, Farmer acts on a tip to drop everything but his fishing rod and make tracks to western Kentucky. On the Cumberland River below Lake Barkley dam, hybrid striped bass are in the jumps and that means fun.
Lastly, Maria Bell has the flavor of the day with one of her favorite recipes from back home. At Fort Knox, the Greek chef introduces us to "Rosemary Fish" -- a delicious dish which always leaves you hungry for more.
