Just talked to DFG Comission. ###All cancelled ELK hunts for 2001 will be reissued to successful applicants or alternates. ###FHL tags will not be available for public draw in 2002 season. ###Quotas will not change. ###These tags will be re-issued to people who lost oppurtunity when hunts were cancelled. ###Commision will vote in April to make final reg for next two years.
My thanks to Jon Fischer (DFG) who mobilized all successful applicants to send letters to commission to get this result. ###Looks like I will be able to get a chance at a Tule Elk afterall. ###I was drawn for first period anterless on FHL.

Good deal . I was wondering how horrible that would of been , to get drawn and then not get to go due to the war , not being unpatriotic but it would just figure you beat the odds and then that. I hope you guys have half the fun and luck I had on my Tule elk hunt this year.
