Caught this one out on VAFB this Sunday. About a 16.5 in fish. This was the only one worth taking a pic of. We also caught 2 rock bass and another small cabazon. As you can see we were out there on a minus tide and I could have caught this guy prod-polling. He was in about 2-3 foot of water.
So far it's been REAL slow, as we aren't seeing the bigger cabazon nor the numbers that we normally see; I'm guessing they haven't spawned yet.

Nice fish and tasty to!! Nothing is better eating than rockfish.

Those may be the best tasting fish I have ever had! We went out of Depoe Bay on a 6 pack boat March 16 and caught 5 big cabbies, limits of lings and some other inshore rockfish. Here's a pic of my dad will 2 big cabs.
It's not having the most,
It's needing the least
OR168,
Those are two nice fish your dad has there. Cabazon are rarely caught off the boat, but when they are they're big. And I know they always get bigger the further north you go.
I've been trying for years to beat my personal best of a 20 in fish. Maybe one of these days...![]()
It looks like those two big one's were full of eggs too. (They're poisonous by the way)
Congrats
