I figure that I will ask the experts, instead of buying something and regretting it. I have never shot a bow before and want to know if I should buy an entry bow or just get a good one right away. I am kind of leaning towards a matthews because I like their business motto and life motto. But I am open to any suggestions, I really appreciate the help and appoligize if the same question has been asked recently.
Congrats on getting into archery! Now The first thing you need to do is go shoot as many as possible.Find a pro shop or two that have diffrent brand bows and shoot as many diffrent ones as possible.I know I just repeated myself and I ment to.If money is not a huge deciding factor shoot em all and narrow down what feels best grip, draw, hand shock, until you get to the best bow for you. This sport can be very addicting and can get very expinsive so I say by the best bow for you the first time around.Im speaking from experiance and alot of money later.I started out with a entry level bow and next thing I new only a year had passed and I had gone through 3 bows.Third time I learned my lesson and bought a bow I will own for a long while.![]()
You cant hit it if you dont shoot at it
Don't buy a bow just because of there sales pitch. I am not saying that Mathews is a bad bow I am just saying buy what works for you and what you like not what "they'' tell you to like. If you buy a good bow you will like it. Then when you really get into archery you will want " the best" which varyes for everyone. There is no one bow that is far better than any other.
GO to a pro shop and shoot some bows get the feel of archery and what you like then buy good stuff and it will last a long time. It will be hard for anyone to go out and buy the best and what they want right off the bat because you don't know what is the best for you or what you want.
Best of luck.
P.S. Be careful archey can be really adicting.![]()
