Anyone been up this way lately? ###I am going up that way from the 3rd - 10th. Even though we stay at June Lake, I will try to get down to Hot Creek a couple of times.
How's the bite?
Hot Cr is still very good. 18-20 Blue wing olives or nymphs. ###Water is still a bit high but it is clear. ###Fished Crowley with Midges today and fishing is slowly getting better. 6-8ft of water with 18-20 midges in Olive Gr., Zebra or grey the best choices now. ###Still not as good as this time last year. ### ###hronk

I got 7 in 6-8 ft of water deep in Mc Gee. ###I had a 20" Rainbow and 1 brown. ###All of mine were over 16" ### Best bite is from 9-11am with wind picking up by noon on most days. ###There is a big algae(sp) bloom going on but should die out within the week.....hronk
